Salamblad (also known as daun salam) is an aromatic leaf widely used in Indonesian, Surinamese, and Asian cuisine. The leaf gives dishes a subtle, spicy, and slightly earthy flavor and is often cooked along with stews, rice, and soups.
Note: Salamblad is not the same as bay leaf, although it is sometimes seen as an alternative.
